1. What can
I donate?
A: We accept most vehicles and vessels including but not limited to cars, trucks, trailers, boats and RV's.
2. Is my
donation tax deductible?
A: Yes. We have verified that all charities listed within this site are classified with the IRS as non-profit charitable organizations. Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Individual tax situations vary so please check with a tax professional to determine what if any tax benefit you may receive.
3. What do I need to donate my vehicle?
A: We would like the title to the vehicle, but if you do not have it please call us anyway. It is possible that other arrangements may be made. Please call us at 281-733-2867.
4. My car
hasn't run in years. Can I still donate it?
A: Yes, we are able to accept most vehicles running or not (exceptions include older vehicles whose value would not offset the cost of towing). To find out if we can accept your vehicle, please complete and submit our form.
5. Can you pick up vehicles in all 50 states?
A: Yes, we are able to pick up accepted vehicles in the continental U.S. Currently, we are unable to accept online donation submissions from Michigan residents. Michigan residents need to contact the charity directly to pledge their donation. Our staff, however, prefers to work within 250 miles of the Houston area.
6. How is
the value of my car determined?
A: In short, the IRS
allows you
(the donor) to assess the fair market value of your vehicle.
This may be used as helpful references in determining the Fair
Market Value of your vehicle.
We suggest you review IRS Publication 526 which sets forth the manner in which the IRS requires you to determine the value of your donated property. 7. How will
the car be picked up?
A: We will arrange to have your vehicle towed away by a professionally licensed, bonded and insured towing company, or an authorized staff person will contact you with specific details.
8. How long
will it take to pick up my car?
A: You will at least be contacted within 24 hours at the most and, under most circumstances, pickup can be arranged for the next day. If you need your car picked up sooner, please let us know as we may be able to make those arrangements as well.
9. How can
I contact you to schedule a pick up?
A: Please complete and submit our form or call us at any time. If you leave a detailed message, we will return your call shortly.
